LOCAL CSA PROGRAM

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a sustainable model that connects consumers directly with local farms. By purchasing a share of the 1661 Farm & Garden’s harvest in advance, our members help support the farm throughout the growing season. In return, they receive a weekly box of fresh, seasonal produce. All of our crops are grown without pesticides, chemicals, or synthetic fertilizers, ensuring the highest quality, naturally grown food. Everything is cultivated with care at the 1661 Farm & Garden on beautiful Block Island!

The resort’s animal farm and gardens serve as educational attractions, hosting events or programs for local schools and families.  For example, the Farm & Garden enjoys hosting the yearly Block Island School 4th Grade Graduation.  The Inn and Farm have also hosted numerous Block Island School Interns and Senior Projects throughout the years.
