Thank you for your interest in working for our resort. We have a wide variety of seasonal positions available. All positions would require that you be able to work through September 15th, although work is often available May through October should your plans permit.

Specialized Resort Jobs available for the 2008 Summer Season:
Salaries are commiserate with experience

• The Oar – Line Cook (experience & strong grill skills required)
• Hotel Manisses - Dining Room Manager (experience required)

General Resort Jobs available for the 2008 Summer Season:
Forty hours per week and some overtime available. Salaries start at the following rates:

• The Oar - Server $2.89/hour (plus tips) – experience & housing required
• The Oar - Bar Back $6.00/hour (plus tips)
• The Oar - Cashier $8.00/hour
• The 1661 Inn - Breakfast Server $7.00/hour (plus tips)
• Hotel Manisses – Hostess (starting at $8.00/hour) - restaurant & upstairs parlor
• Hotel Manisses - Server $2.89/hour (plus tips) - experience & housing required
• Hotel Manisses - Front Desk Receptionist $8.00/hour
• Hotel Manisses - Server $2.89/hour (plus tips) - experience & housuing required

We have a staff hotel (the Eureka) with living accommodations available. The rent ranges from $25.00 to $125 per week. Laundry facilities are located on the premises. We do not have any housing for waitresses or bartenders.

If you are not a United States citizen, you must have the appropriate paperwork to work legally in this country. If you are not living in our dormitory, you must be able to verify that you have housing on Block Island.
